Quotes from Education Philosophers and Innovators

President Lyndon B. Johnson – “We set out to make certain that poverty's children would not be forevermore poverty's captives. We called our program Project Head Start.”

Louise Derman-Sparks – “Children’s success in education is not based on the lack of innate intelligence, but the lack of the necessary tools to succeed”.

  1. Thank you, Tammy for your great quotes!!

President Johnson was brilliant in creating Head Start, in my opinion. Our children living in poverty shouldn't be held captive - they deserve an education!!

Educators can provide the tools to succeed for children. We need to have that passion and motivation to step out of our comfort zones at times and work for the better of our students.

Thank you for your great quotes! Keep up the great work!!

  2. Hello, Jamila
I like Louis Derman Spark quote that “His passion was that children were taught in an environment that truly natured their ability to develop and grow” which I feel that this is a true quote.
