I recently found a website titled
childpoverty.com. The website is
dedicated to fighting poverty among children in the world. The site provides research and information
about groups that fight poverty. In a
recent news report, the organization discussed its 25 in 5 project goals of
eliminating poverty. Unfortunately, the
project is behind schedule in its efforts.
However, this shows that the groups are working together to combat
poverty.

ReplyDeleteI would never have thought that Canada, being a developed country, would have almost 1 in 6 children living below the poverty line in 2000. On the other hand, I think poverty is an issue that exists everywhere, in lower or higher indexes, but at the end, it always threats the integral development of children living in poor families.

ReplyDeletePoverty is such a devastating factor in the lives of so many children around the world. We receive information and photos of living conditions in Tanzaniz where we have a sponsored child and they have such a meager existance. Thankfully, there are organizations like the one you read about at childpoverty.com or like Compassion International which is the agency we work with to sponsor children who are in need
